LinkedIn silently grabs the right to use your data for AI 'training'
You can stop it by unchecking a box in your profile
Need further evidence that the once-proud LinkedIn has turned into a slag heap?
Here it is: As John Scott-Railton (@jsrailton) has noted on X, LinkedIn has silently opted you in to allowing it to use your content to train its AI. Railton adds: “Not cool, and if the US had actual privacy legislation, this probably wouldn’t happen.”
You can stop it by going to the Data Privacy section of your LinkedIn profile and unchecking the box that gives it the right to do this.
Thanks a million to the inimitable @freddynager, content strategist and marketing professor at the USC Annenberg School of Communication, for the tip.
Wow. I dropped LinkedIn years ago. I'm glad I did.
Done. Thank you.
