I used to live in Spain and found that Sevilla (Seville) is the hottest city in Europe. It's located in the Guadalquivir Valley known as the frying pan of Europe for the reasons you give. Avoid in Summer - the ANNUAL average daytime temperature is 25C / 78F.
Wow. That's hotter even than it is here on the Gulf Coast, where I believe the average annual temperate is around 70. Spain must be very dry also while in these parts at least you have the afternoon rains that can provide some relief from the punishing sun.
Ha. You’re lucky none of your employers sent you out to do that story and make you taste the egg. By the what, “What exit are you from?” I might do something on your Radburn feed as a niche follow for people “from” a certain exit.

That part of Spain is so dry they've been considering diverting water from previously national parks which is causing an outcry.
This made me hungry!

I can feel the humidity from here!
I just went out for a 1.5 mile walk, and I’m still dripping dry!
Time for breakfast! I am going to fry up some eggs on my stovetop. Consider me a traditionalist.
Thank you! I eat eggs, too, cooked the regular way.
